Cauliflower is a member of the cruciferous family making it a great choice in preventing cancer. Purple cauliflower has even more powerful antioxidants known as anthocyanins. From a TCM perspective cauliflower is good for moistening the lungs and large intestine - great during the dry fall season, and strengthening the spleen to improve digestion. The colour purple also indicates this food is more yin-cooling/moistening than regular cauliflower.
